New Ideas for your Fitness!

March 3rd, 2009

Fitness move of the week
Toe Taps
This move will work your lower butt out if you are looking for a little extra oomph!
·         Lie on the floor with your arms on your sides.
·         Lift your feet, bending both knees to 90 degrees so your thighs are perpendicular to the floor.
·         Now slowly and softly tap your left toes to the floor, and then switch to tap your right toes to the floor.
·         Alternate tapping feet for one minute.
·         If you feel any lower back pain, don’t bring your toes all the way down.  And remember to concentrate on pressing your lower back to the floor.

Cook quickly, but eat healthy

Chicken Caesar Salad Wrap
279 calories, 7g fat (2g saturated)

1.        Top one large whole wheat tortilla (or wrap) with one large handful of romaine lettuce, one small handful of roasted chicken breast pieces, one soup spoon of light Caesar dressing, and eight croutons.
2.      Wrap or roll.
I hope you enjoy the exercise and simple recipe.  I have always liked that one because I get to lie on the ground, but I still get a great workout, especially in an area of my body that needs it…my booty.  And chicken caesar salads are a regular favorite of mine that seemed to become one of my meals on a weekly basis.

Sincerely,
Maggie
