It’s the time of the year to do things together with your mate, friends, or family. There are lots of fun exercises to do with partners. If you have a medicine ball or stability ball you can do a lot of different types of sit-ups, pushups, squats, or lunges. You can do different stair exercises with one at the tip and one at the bottom and meet in the middle. You can ride the bicycles together or go to the track and run relays. It’s a good time to go to the park and have a family picnic and take a trail walk. Try playing tennis. It’s not only a great way to exercise, it’s fun. Also remember it is February and tennis is a love game. You could get together and cook a healthy dinner and maybe whip up some smoothies for dessert. Here is a healthy recipe to try.
Raspberry Trifle
1 pkg. white angel food cake mix
1¼ cups cold water
2 cups boiling water
1 pkg. sugar-free raspberry-flavored gelatin
2 pkg. frozen sweetened raspberries, thawed
2 to 3 containers red raspberry yogurt (99% fat free)
Bake and cool cake as directed for angel food pan. Tear cake into about 3/4“ pieces. Pour boiling water on gelatin in large bowl; stir until gelatin is dissolved. Add raspberries. If desired, remove several raspberries and reserve for garnish. Refrigerate gelatin mixture about 15 minutes or until thickened but not set. Layer half each of the cake pieces, gelatin mixture and yogurt in 3 quart glass bowl; repeat. Garnish with reserved raspberries. Refrigerate at least 2 hour until firm. Cover and refrigerate any remaining dessert.
